North Myrtle Beach Vacation!!

This is how we looked after about 7 hours in the van! Thankfully Mom and Dad drove in their own car so the boys were able to ride with them too. It was really fun to surprise them with this trip. Thank you Mom and Dad for making it possible!
Mommy and Noah are ready for bed! Unfortunately, Noah was up almost all night with a really yucky cough. I think I slept in every chair in that hotel room that night with him. Poor guy. Thankfully that was the only night his sleep was interrupted for the entire trip.

Day 2. Back in the van, we drove for a couple of hours and then surprised them again when we met up with Aunt Jenny at a gas station.
Collin is really excited to see the ocean!
The water tower announcing we finally reached our destination!
At the condo, they have a "check~in" area for the kids. They were given gift bags with candy, bouncy balls, tattoo's and a few other goodies.
First time in the sand. We took the boys to Daytona Beach when they were 2 and almost 1, but they don't remember that trip. They loved the sand. The weather was perfect and we were able to play in the ocean and on the beach for hours.
Daddy couldn't wait to cover Noah up with sand! :)
Collin had to do it too! He didn't want his arms to e covered up.
Jenny and Noah hard at work.
Collin loved this giant hole someone had dug out earlier. He couldn't wait to get in.
Aaron, Jenny, Noah and Collin worked hard on creating a giant alligator. I think it was about 6' long.
We went to Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach. It was a great place! Here is Collin on the Viking ship.
Noah rode in the last seat. He loved it!
Then the boys got to ride the boat ride. This was really fun!
Noah picked a blue boat of course!

The teacups. The boys also rode on the motorcycle ride.
Next we went to the Ripley's Aquarium.
This was a creepy shark that we went under on the moving sidewalk in the room where you are surrounded by water. Not my favorite part! Hello didn't anyone else see that scene in Jaws when the glass broke!! YIKES!
(*Insert Jaws theme song!*)
When we were deciding what to do while in Myrtle Beach, we were flipping through brochure's. I asked Noah if he wanted to go to the Ripley's aquarium, he looked at the brochure and saw this mascot shark. He said "I wanna see that guy!". He got his wish!
Jelly Fish!
Noah in front of the sting ray window.

The boys loved this fish slide.
The giant stuffed black bear.
The world's fasted merry go round.
On Thursday, we went to Brookgreen Gardens! It was amazing! They had a zoo, statue gardens, flower gardens and over 300 acres to explore! It was really neat. Here is Collin on teh bear statue.
This was a really neat statue of 6 children saying the Pledge of Allegiance" and one child raising the flag. Noah and Collin got involved.
Both boys and the Bear.
Collin wasn't so sure about this one!
The water was "dyed" black because of one of the plants.
Here is the video of when we told the boys we were going on vacation!! The big surprise revealed!

We had a wonderful time and I can't wait for our next vacation! A special thanks to Phil and Rosie for keeping Roxi for us and Megan for checking our house, getting the mail and watering the garden! Thanks Jenny, Mom and Dad for watching the kids so Aaron and I could go on a date! Also for taking the boys on dates!

Wow, what a wonderful vacation!

I totally cracked up with your shark comment -- the Sea World in San Diego has a "shark encounter" where you go on a moving walkway in a glass tube that goes THROUGH the shark tank -- surrounded on all sides by sharks. I am nervous every time we go through it, thinking about the glass breaking!!

Ok, I have to know where you packed all your stuff! Please pass on your tips because we leave for vacation in 12 days.

Jen, everything was in the stow-and-go under Noah's seat and behind the back bench. We didn't need a pac-n-play or stroller, we we were able to pack light. We also had a washer and dryer in our condo, so I only packed a few outfits per person. Happy packing!
